Friends !
Let's take a different topic today, away from literature. A topic that speaks on the way of living the life. Our living is not the value we need to apply..The way we should.. our forefathers have given us ample idea of the path we should take..How to take and when to take.
We know and have been told to know that wealth is prime necessity of life our system of education says this. Earning of wealth is our prime aim and we learn it from the day one of our life till the end. We are taught very little how to use the earned wealth. As a result, we have to leave the world without the amassed lot without knowing it beforehand practically. The wealth has been defined in multiple ways, all without the most important factor related to its practicability. We will take the most ancient explanation of its utility.
We have a verse
सर्बं क्षयं गच्छति कालपर्ययात्
दत्तं च हूतं च तथैव तिष्ठति..
Everything in this material world we earn or own goes to final destruction one day, irrespective of its importance or ownership.. only two things stay without being ruined..The thing that has been given ..And the thing that has been enjoyed. You earn a thing..In form of material wealth. You will prove your ownership only if you spend it on the parameter of spending, that is spend it to get service or article of your choice for enjoyment.. and the other way is if you can give it to somebody as gift or alm. Otherwise the wealth is virtually not yours. The wealth stands permanently confiscated. Otherwise, one can be the owner of the entire mines under the earth or the entire wealth in RBI. Thus the basic principle of ownership of wealth is ...ownership means executive ability to spend and give. This fact is said in the following verse.
दानोपभोगरहिता दिवसा यस्य यान्ति वै ।
स लोहकारभस्त्रेव श्वसन्नपि न जीवति ॥
From सुभाषितरत्नसमुच्चय
If a person neither gives his wealth away, nor enjoys it then his living is a big waste. He is only breathing just like the air sac of a blacksmith and not 'living'.
The air sack, made of animal skin, of a black smith inhales and exhales oxigen like all animals do. Breathing is not the sign of living on this count. The exact sign of being wealthy is utilising the money earned by giving as gift or alm and spending it for enjoyment. If you don't spend, then the wealth is equal to the living without its proper meaning of living, like the air sack.of the black smith.
Now friends, it is your time to feel if you are wasting your hard earned money by miserly saving or actually are enjoying your effective ownership on it. Thanks.
