ଚହଟା ଘାଟ ସିଧା ଆମ୍ବ ତୋଟାରେ
ଡରୁଛି ସେ ମହାନଦୀ କୂଳ ଗହଳି
ଆଉ ବୁଲୁନି ହବ କାଳେ ହଟହଟା ରେ
ସତୀ ଅସତୀ ର ଦ୍ଵନ୍ଦ ରେ ପଡିଚି
ପଡିଛି ସେ ଅପନ୍ତରା ରେ...
ଖୋଜୁଛି ସେ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରମୁଖୀ
ଭଜୁଛି ସେ କାଳ ବଇଶାଖୀ
ମନ ତାର ଲାଖିଅଛି ସୁରା ରେ....
ଜୀବନ ଯମୁନା ବହୁନାଇଁ ଉଜାଣି...
ଘାସ ବୁଦା ବିଲ ହୁଡା
କାମନାର ଜଉଘର ପରି ସାଦାସିଧା
ହାତଠାରି କେବେ ତାକୁ ଡାକିବେ କେଜାଣି...

He is out of Paru's love
Roaming now a day in river bed..
Seen sleeping in the mango Grove
Straight in the side of Chahata Ghat
Out of mind...
Afraid of the crowd of Mahanadi shore..
Not wandering to avoid notice..
In an hesitation of chastity or looseness
Finds him  deserted..
Searching Chandramukhi for advice
And remembering the hurricane...
A little bit addicted..
The Yamuna of life is no more in force..
All the bushes..
Hedges are so straight
Like house of wax
Waiting to be addressed intensely...
