.....SUBHASHITANI...
वदनं प्रसादसदनं सदयं
हृदयं सुधामुचो वाचः
करणं परोपकरणं येषां
केषां न ते वन्द्याः ॥
It is another most talked sanskrit verse from the mouth of scholars of ancient India. Here, we will learn the the characteristics of an worthy man adored by all. His virtues are enumerated in this verse with elaborated goodness he possesses for which he is honoured by all, praised and adored by the society.
1. वदनं प्रसादसदनं...... A man whose face appears to be the home of Prasadam.. kalyanakarakam.. cool, smiling and peaceful countenance. Whose face emanates affirmation and positivity. Who assures thankfulness and faithful reliability to all he comes across without pretention. It is the natural benefic sweetness. A man with such type of facial expression pleases all and sundry, whoever comes across him. We find this sweet calmness in the face of enlightened mahapurushas as drawn by artists such as, Lord Rama, Krishna, Buddha, Mahavira, Jesus, Hanuman ji e.t.c. They please all with their ever smiling expression by which they win over the heart and confidence of all who come to them.
2. सदयं हृदयं... Only the facial expression is not responsible for a magic personality. Another instrument they have in their heart. It is pity, the magic quality to win over others. They vanquish the violent, the greedy, the jealous, the angry, the attached, the mesmerised with pity and pardon. This pity along with smiling face casts a winning effect on the society. Everybody accepts his magic impression with awe.
3. सुधामुचो वाचः ....Then comes his words... speech. When he speaks with softness..conviction..strength.. erudition.. impression... winning effect and conviction, whoever hears it is confident now of his greatness and nearness. Faith and reliability automatically fills the mind and heart of the audience. Cool words enters into the heart and overpowers mind with faith for the speaker.
4. करणं परोपकरणं... Then comes the winning quality that converts any body hard core if left suspicious of the man's integrity. His action casts the final stroke on the pray. He is helpful to others Whatever he does, he does to the well-being of others. He helps others and never does anything to hurt others. His entire active life is dedicated to other's well being.
This type of person is honoured by all.
Friends, have you ever seen such a person with a smiling face, with a heart full of compassion for others, with his words as sweet as nectar and magic, and with behaviour and action dedicated to help others ? They were available in ancient India and they were our forefathers. Have we inherited an iota of these qualities in our gene ? Where are we heading ? Is not it right time to think over ? I need your participatory comments for all of us.
