....गावँ....

भाईचारे की बात न कर, मन अब ऊब चूका है
राजनिती का अखाडा क्या है, गावँ चलो अगर देखना है
हर दिल में बैर है, हाँ भाई यही सच्चाई है
दुःख दर्द बाँटना है तो पेखना ही पेखना है।

हरियाली खेतों में और नहीं रह गयी है
जमीनें बंजर हैं, खलिहान खाली खाली है
काम के लिए लोग नहीं मिलते आज
दूध बिके घूम घूम, दारू की पसरा गली गली में,
हक़ीक़त अब यही रह गयी, बस यही अब खुशहाली है ...

Don't talk of fraternity and friendship in village
I am fade up of the issue
If you want to study politics come to the village
Enmity is cultivated here and this is the university
Sharing of sadness and happiness
You will find pretention in it.

Greenery is not seen in the farms
Earth is barren and the crop yard is left wanting
You won't find workers for the field
Milk has sparse demand now
Wine is sold in every street corners
This is the reality, don't get disheartened
This the richness of my village culture left.
