To Emotion

To Emotion

I write thee, O Emotion...
The capital of literary art..
I write thee, Ofoster father
Of age old tune..
Aching from an enchanted heart..
Away from darkness..
Away from light..
Away from mischief and
Away from mist..
I write thee
O thrilling companion..
A cup of hemlock green..
Music... thy faithful drug
Of an unlnown sin...

Heard melodies are sweet
But those unheard are sweeter
So says the record...
What a patience !
How wonderful
Thy feathers are..
Thou dictionary of a locked cupboard..
None ... like thee... None...
When I called the on..
It was the brightest morn...
Dancing and glittering..
Chanting and muttering...
I wonder
Thy similar if ever born..
I hail thee.. O emotion
None like thee ...None...

The Sun was pretty warm..
Still I remember
You came in with a broad smile
And it was
Such a brightening morn...
The wind blew too gentle
Clouds above were too little
Rustling was the field of corn..
Roses were crimson red
Like cover of the bread
And th ocean was full of dream..
I hail thee O sweet dear
On the lap of the mother earth
 Thou art the lovliest cream...
