.....EXCUSE ME MY MOTHER....

.....EXCUSE ME MY MOTHER....

I can commit any blunder
You have given me that right..
I have drunk you to the fill, O mother
My life from you is the sweetest gift...

The reliance, the protection, the love
Are all the trademark of your care for me..
The rearing I have received from you
Your eyes are the best solace, I salute thee...

We have traded you for petty cash
We have sold your trust on your children, on us..
We have butchured your faith on the humanity Ma
We have cheated your milk for a swap...

Pardon is the thing you have showered on us..
You have offered your everything to enrich our stash..
For ages you have accompanied in our journey..
You have given us everything, in return not a  single good morning..

It is a tribute to my mother who has done everything to me except giving me birth. She has allowed my deprive her own calf its due before their eyes... She has been with me in my house from the day I opened my eyes offering her sacred dung, urine and her benign wishes...Her soothing look...Cooling stare at me wishing my best 24 hours. I have had her blessings forcefully with all rights. All these things for nothing...No demand ever from her ever. Yet I am not able to protect her when she is being butchered for her flesh ..For her hide...For her easily availability... For her trade. Mu own people are speaking against her for vote bank politics. My own brothers who have been converted to another religion have forgotten her ...Her contribution... Her sacrifice for the humanity.  This poem is for her and my Friends.
