और मैं बृद्धाश्रम की छान मार रहा हूँ..
मुहँ मेरा राम राम सुनाई देता है तो
इसे हक़ीक़त न समझ लें...
दिल में मेरा आग का दरिया देखोगे
मेरे ही कलेजे के टुकुड़े मुझ से हिस्सा मांग रहे हैं...
जलना क्या है, फिर जिन्दा
यह कोई मुझ से पूछ ले...
प्यार मुहब्बत किस चिड़िया का नाम है
कोई बता पाए तो मुझ से मिल ले...
सपने कैसे और कब देखते हैं
बचपन कब हुआ गायब..
भूख और प्यास क्या मिटते हैं कभी कभी
अगर हाँ तो कैसे और कब कब..
झेलते झेलते जिन्दा फिर भी हूँ....
पालना पोषना सिर्फ मेरे ही हिस्से में क्यों
पता करने से पहले मरना नहीं चाहता हूँ..
हाँ, गर्ब है मुझे मैं औरत हूँ...

I am the queen of pains
The contract to build the world is in my fist
And lo, I am wandering for an old age home
Don't think it a reality
If you hear God's name in my words..
You will see the sea of fire in my heart..
Parts of my own heart demand a share from me..
