with hopes and reliance
instilling my manners with respect,
You have filled my spirit ......

Friends, let's see how mistaken our views are regarding action and its proper understanding... We are engaged with heavy pravachans all around us ... Babas... pravachaks... Mathas...Schools...With one purpose to understand various yogas like bhakti yoga, raja yoga, karma yoga and gyana yoga...Almost 90 percent of all ashrams and preachers vouch for bhakti yoga...As if bhakti is the panacea of all enabling to move direct to Vaikuntha through swallowing capsules.... Srimadbhagabadgita is candid in explaining the ways and the fallacies involved.. here, we take a verse in which Lord Krishna explains how we cheat ourselves...
कर्मेन्द्रियाणि संयम्य यः आस्ते मनसा स्मरन
इन्द्रियार्थान बिमुढात्मा मिथ्याचारः स उच्यते..
Due to large scale ignorance of fundamental knowledge in ethics and cultural heritage, we treat very basic principles that passed to us through heredity...We tend to differentiate between the five gyanendriyas like ear, skin, eye, tongue and the nose and those of karmendriyas like voice, hand, leg, anus and the generative organ...Which is fallacious as per tenets of Gita..... In reality, the main driving force behind the karmendriyas are gyaneindriyas headed by the mind. The restrain of one needs the control of the others too. If you control the karmendriyas only and in your mind you are still thinking of all those connectivities, then you achieve nothing...You only cheat yourself....
The foolish man without applying conscience try to stop all activities in order to indulge in worldly enjoyment...But still goes on thinking the objects of the closed functions... Like the Ascetic doing Harinaam his entire life in front of the house of the Prostitute...And always thinking of her wretched activities ... The attachment in the form of love, ego, expectations, keeps him mentally linked to the worldly affairs...It is the false feeling of renunciation...Controlling the karmendriyas free of the sensory ones is a false and fallacious move.... It is like cheating the self....Like a cat licking milk putting its head inside the pitcher and thinking of not being seen...
If you want to maintain celibacy, you need not fridge your generative organ, alone... You have to direct your mind not to think of it by controling the pituitary gland that secrets the sex hormone. Thus the first thing is to control sensory organs and the mind... Then only can you be free of the generative organ.. the same with all others... But, due to wrong information, a fool try to stop function of all the karmendriyas externally while in his mind he goes on imagining and thinking the activities... अघ्राणं अर्धभोजनं, it is rightly said...The sweet smell of the delicious food brings water to mouth however forcefully one may seal his mouth..Externally... Control means restraining the wish ...Not sealing the mouth.. if you kill the wish..You are in control of the tongue..
Showmanship is the other name of cheating... Don't pretend...If you want to maintain celibacy, control the mind first...It can't be seen to the outside... Thought is manifested through action... If you want to curb activities, then curb your wish first...It is called Hatha yoga, to fast ...To enter into burning fire...To pierce the body parts...To lie on the scorching sun of May on the earth bare bodied...To look into the sun with the bare eyes...All these are curbing the karmendriyas.....Also....To do yogic practices...Are not the ultimate means.... To stop body function and sit tight without any creative work....And still with attachment to Monalisas in all form...This is pure cheating... Subtle deceit....

स्वे स्वे कर्मण्यभिरतः संसिद्धि लभते नरः
स्वकर्मनिरतः सिद्धिं यथा बिंदति तत्स्छ्रुणु....
Friends, let's continue our discussion on karma theory as explained by the Lord.. Yogeshwar Krishna...We had a nice topic one Sunday on various types of mind bungling terms like Akarma... Bikarma..And other forms... Today, we will take technicalities of the Karma theory...It is a vast topic...Any one verse of Gita is enough for a paper for a PhD....
Here, we have two major terms Abhirati... Swakarmanirati.... Around which a great spider web is woven...Only a clear understanding of these terms can throw light on the socio behavioral of a man seeking the ultimate goal, that is Moksha....You don't need to go to any institution or temple or indulge in any specific worship involving standing in long queue for a Darshsn or chanting Mantras in a specific way with tantra mantra or offering pricious metal, building temples in every corner of a habitat...
Every action has two reactionary results... The 1st is Abhirati..That is, genuine love for the activity with dedication one is engaged with...The 2nd is, on the other hand, Aasakti or attachment... Abhi-rati means the happiness or pleasure arising out of the feeling of dedication... Gifting...Offering from the core of the heart for others in the way of performing an action with genuine interest in the normal way....It means ..do anything you are doing ...But do it with an intension of helping or pleasing others through your work....You don't have anything to your own benefit...It is a heavenly pleasure to see others happy.... Asakti is different totally... The same work done with an intension of self interest... An intended result..The abhi-rati leads towards freedom from the action and its reaction...Aasakti binds the doer with the reaction...The result... bondage....
Strange is its explanation....Whatever job has been allotted to one by the worldly sojourn, should be carried out wittout any eye on its result.... Expectations bring black spots to the action... Working for somebody with an eye to the receivable remuneration and so taking caution for the proportional amount of work vis a vis the value and time of the work is Aasakti....Here, the work is not fluent...It is directly proportional to the wage and time... When the same work is done to bring pleasure to the master without any reference to The wage or time, it is called service.....It is free from any self oriented interest.....
The very service mentality is a product of genetical origin..Effected hugely by education..Training and slothfulness acquired...The story of Upamanyu... Karna of Mahabharata... Eklavya...Those who served without raising a question.....Their action was of such type of noble ones..Called seva or service.... a lawyer, a teacher, a doctor, a worker in government office, can serve with abhi-rati...In earlier days...It was...Every work is said to be divine...But Aasakti is the go of the day...Writing poetry, stories, editorials..Columns...Can be abhi-rati...But interest and lobbying for awards.... . Prizes... Name. . Fame...And money. is aasakti....
The truth is...Work is not the deciding factor...It is the thought behind...The intention behind any action is guiding principle...When People take interest in arranging festivals and meetings for distributing awards..They have an intention to manage one for them.... Aasakti.... When somebody writes something, not for competing with others..not for earning a prize...But to please others..It is abhi-rati...See the thought that guide the action...
It is for you to decide if it stands ground in clarifying the technicality...It is a nice job...If you are pleased genuinely...
Trying to understand Gita...By Lord Shrikrishna..

This is a famous sukta from.Yajur veda. It is famous because it represents the basic principle of Indian culture, its thought incorporating the whole universe into its fold. Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam..PM Modi often quotes with pride for the Tenets that is INDIA. BHARATAVARSHA... It stands how the ancient Rishis called for fraternity..For love and compassion..To live united..How they invited all to live and let live on this mother earth together...With peace.. Tranquility.. To fight against ignorance.. Violence.. Vices..To help others ...To make others happy ..To see the self satisfaction in other's happiness....The whole world like a family. This verse stands as the central theme of RSS thinking.
मित्रस्याहं चक्षुषा सर्वाणि भूतानि समीक्षे..
Everything starts from the self. You go on giving advice of ethical values in life....Satyam vada...Tell the truth... Dharmam chara...Behave as if you create precedence..So that people follow you.. These advice never works. People follow not your words. They believe you when you behave that way...What Mahatma taught us. It says.. let me see the whole world in a friendly eye..Wearing spects of friendliness. Let me treat all the creatures in non violent way...Behave as I expect others with me. Let me see all good sides in other's behaviour. Let me do my duty of owning others...The whole world as mine..Let me see the God Almighty in all animate and inanimate things. That is the base of Indian thought.
मित्रस्य मा चक्षुषा सर्वाणि भूतानि समीक्षन्ताम् ।
Then comes the next step of wish.
Let the whole world see me in a friendly eye. The MANTRA invites with folded hand the whole world to own me...To see mevad their own... अपनाना है सारी दुनिया को मुझे। O you..The whole animate and inanimate creation of the Almighty ..Please own me ..Embrace me.. let me be your family member.. I have done my duty by owning you..Now it is your term...Melt me in you... Wah...What a noble wish..What a splendid prayer ..
मित्रस्य चक्षुषा समीक्षामहे
The last wish...Let us all see each other in a friendly eye. I have done my duty. You all have done your duty to see in me all the good things. Let us connect. Let us be united. Let us not do our job independently without making ourselves open of our noble intensions. You know my heart that I love you. Let me know that I am not alone in the noble thought. Let us sit together to communicate with each other. Let us pray..O God ! We will see the good things in ourselves. We will be all one family...To take compassion on the weaker section and the strong will do their best to help their brothers. Let us not see any I'll in others.
Now friends... Can you see the greatness of our forefathers ? Do you see whose gene is in us ? Do you understand what is India ? Do you understand what noble thought we have inherited ? आ नो भद्रा क्रतवो यन्तु विश्वतः... Let noble thoughts come to us from all directions... Let us be rich in higher thoughts..Think of leading the world on the way to greatness.. It is your time to feel the greatness of your land...Your gene...Your spirit..Your blood..Your soil..Everything India stands for...We will not see what we lack...We will rise with whatever we have...Jai Hind.. Bharat mata ki Jay.

सुभाषितानि...
Sin or Virtue....Dharma or Papa....Are no absolute terms...They are words carrying relative meanings.. they need be understood as per the situations and the individuals those who commit them. Today, wr have a discussion with wide participation on the topic....
We have a term Dhrutarashtra for a king who closes his eyes to the misdeeds his own people do. He is not responsible for the country ..Rather he dedicates himself for the welfare of his nearers and dearers... He doesn't represent the nation..He never tries for the welfare of his subjects... We have a present day scenario ..A bright example in the persona of our ex- prime minister , Dr. Manmohan Singh ji...Who sat over the chair for ten long years. Irrespective to his calibrecand fame of international reputation as an economist, he did nothing for the nation. His love was not for the country.. he would be long remembered for his initiatives as finance minister under Narasimha Rao ji...He made a miracle towards Reformation... But, he turned a hypocrite the moment he sold his conscience in honor of a Nalayak....To protect the chair for a baby who was inside the womb. The country went through a great era of financial bungling, ghotalas, mismanagement... He became an instrument for the Holocaust India went through all along.. he presided over a the country reeling under a bunch of thugs and he did nothing... The responsibility of all that happened rests on his shoulder... राजा राष्ट्रकृतं पापं... The sins, Taja committed, the sins of coal ghotala, defence kickbacks, 2G bungling...Now the mother of all banking ghotala...72% of banking resources were NPAs... The chidambarams...The Malyas...The Choksis...All cheating the public money....Under his nose...The closed eyes of the Dhrutarashtra....Sitting on the highest chair without fighting an election....My God...
Then comes the next step.. who is responsible for the sins committed by the king ? The general belief says it is the person who presides ...The other hand doesn't vouch for the sin committed by the one.. if Dhrutarashtra puts the onus on milajula sarakar....History will denounce him for the decade he worshiped the Khadau... Scripture says he is not responsible... The ministers who were supposed to aid advice him on the chair are responsible. Was he not the king...? Then who else was..? There is no option for a sleeping king who would rule via proxy.. 10 Janpath escapes from the picture.. the mother son duo are out of picture... These people baffled the code of conduct.. the scripture, the Constitution...
Third step is भर्त्ता च स्त्रीकृत पापं.... In the joint family system of indian civilisation...The wife is the minister, the nurse, the sister, the mother, the disciple, the friend, philosopher and guide..The master who rules over her husband for her life..But she is subservient to her husband... He is called Bhartta...The one who has responsibility to protect her..To maintain her...To support her... she is to be guided only but she has to do everything. The doer she is...The prime minister she is..He is the presiding officer.. Whatever she does ..She does in his name... If she commits any mistake...He is squarely responsible...
Then comes the most important part of social set up... The education system... Teachers who were once treated as next to parents...चक्षुरुन्मीलितं येन तस्मै श्रीगुरबे नमः..... Now demanding government protection from students for their disrespect..... And shouting hai tauba.... शिष्य पापं गुरुः तथा... It is the teacher who is answerable...To the degradation....For tukde tukde gang...The commies who are occupying the chairs...Those who misguide...
राजा राष्ट्रकॄतं पापं राज्ञा पापं पुरोहित: |
भर्ता च स्त्रीकॄतं पापं शिष्यपापं गुरू: तथा ||
If a country goes in a wrong way/ does a sin then the king should be held responsible. If king commits a sin then his advisors/ministers should be held responsible. If a women does a wrong thing then her husband should be held responsible and if a student ('shishya') commits a sin then his teacher ('guru') should be held responsible.
Now, friends...The ball is in your court...

Great is your fame for reliance...

Jaha nahin bharate... taha nahin bharate.... Here, Bharata has two meanings.... Mahabharata, the greatest ever epic that human mind can conceive and the other meaning is vishwa...the universe... Whatever is not in the epic...That is not in the universe .... We will take a verse from it, today that has long repercussion of today's politics... in India specific...
Noble people use the adversaries into great achievements of life. They don't fight among themselves when enemy is knocking at the door.. This is the principle we will we Indians have forgotten to learn from the other epic that has been imprinted in our gene. Yet we don't like to take notice of being misguided and misinterpreted by some modern day communal Shakunis ..Historians.. Educationalists... Politicians usurping the administration for last 60 years of independence...Today, a politician did something unbelievable....In independent India, an NC member shouted Pakistan Jindabad inside the J&K Assembly. Tukde tukde gang are the youth wing of communists in India those who brazenly advocate to disintegrate our nation...The oldest political party, Congress leaves nothing undone to malign the most disciplined armed forces ..Openly siding with the external enemies like China and Pakistan... 20 % of India's population wants to devide India again... Ruling parties in Bihar and UP advocate cheating in examination in schools and openly do away with examination system.
Pandavas were peace loving and lovers of justic and righteousness.... They were trained to love the humanity on the path of dharma...not present day term religion... Dharma is the way of life on the platform of justice, truthfulness and righteousness... Religion, on the other hand is a school of thought on the basis of leaders of faith or prophets... The other party if the epic were Kaurabas those stand for the opposite...Negative ideology of the day.... Through deceit, Pandavas were divested of all their rightful share. The present topic relates to the episode when they were driven out to twelve years long forest dwelling.. although they knew they were cheated, they accepted the punishment on the basis of dharma.... and they were judiciously observing the punishment...And acquiring new knowledge, experiences, earning new powers..Trainings... Simultaneously..
Duryodhana , symbol of arrogance and negatively of the day wanted to see in his own eyes the plight of his cousins in their bad days. So he marched with his troupe into the forest. On the way, they had a tussle with Gandharvas and was defeated and rounded up. The message reached Pandavas. Bhima was happy to see the incidence. That time, bhIma's opinion was, not to help Kaurava, because they were paNDava's enemy. Bheema was happy that their job was done by gandharvas. But, Yudhisthir, the symbol of dharma himself explained the rule of ethical values.
परस्परविरोधे तु वयं पंचश्चते शतम् |
परैस्तु विग्रहे प्राप्ते वयं पंचाधिकं शतम् ||
Aranya parva...
While fighting with each other, we are five and they are hundred. While fighting with others (enemy) we are hundred plus five.
This is an excellent example laid by Yudhisthir before us. If we turn our pages of history, many places we find that our rajas were fighting with each other, and they even helped outside invaders to knock down other Indian rajas. And that was major cause of success of invaders.
In todays contex, we must know who is "ours" and who is not. Ah...I wish, our commies..Our tukade gang brethren...The great congressis and everybody who love to look at Pakistan for help would learn something before they swear to denigrate Indian Army....
Vande Mataram...

Friendship of a friend is tested in our bad times, the warrior's heroism is tested in a war, a servant's test lies in his good attitude towards the owner and a donor's test is at the time of drought. The point explained here is that the person who donates wealth/food even at the time of a drought, i.e. at the times when the food is a scarcity, is a real donor. If we do not live up to our expectations at the tough times then there is no use of what we stand for.

कर्तव्यम् आचरं कामम् अकर्तव्यम् अनाचरम् |
तिष्ठति प्राकॄताचारो य स: आर्येति कथ्यते ||
योग वसिष्ठ
A person who does the things which are to be done and who doesn't do the things which are not to be done; a person who stands by traditio प्रकृत आचार is called "Arya".
The term "Arya" is used to refer to elder or respectable person in India. This subhashita give some of the characteristics of 'Arya'. A person who does the things which he is supposed to do i.e. good things, and does not do any bad, can be called Arya.. In short, the one who obeys dharma is Arya. 'Arya' does not reflect any race.
The most basic division of the Indian society is of Aryans and Dravidians. According to this division, nearly 72% of Indians are Aryans and 28% are Dravidians. The north Indians are the descendants of Aryans and the south Indians are Dravidians. The languages spoken in five states of south India are considered Dravidian languages and most of the languages spoken in the north are considered Aryan languages. The general script of the Aryan languages is different from the general script of Dravidian languages. The Indians also distinguish themselves by the general north Indian accent and general south Indian accent.
According to general Indian legend, the Aryans arrived in north India somewhere from Iran and southern Russia at around 1500 BC. Before the Aryans, the Dravidian people resided in India. The Aryans disregarded the local cultures. They began conquering and taking control over regions in north India and at the same time pushed the local people southwards or towards the jungles and mountains in north India. According to this historical fact the general division of Indian society is made. North Indians are Aryans and south Indians are Dravidians. But this division isn’t proper because of many reasons.
Many Indians immigrated from one part of India to other parts of India and not all local people of north India were pushed southwards by the Aryans. Some stayed and served the Aryans and others moved to live in the forests and the jungles of north India. Before the arrival of the Aryans there were also other communities in India like Sino-Mongoloids and Austroloids. There were also other foreign immigrations and invaders who arrived in India, from time to time.
There are many that completely doubt that there was ever any Aryan invasion in India. This skepticism is based on the dating of the Aryan invasion of India and the fact that Hinduism and the caste system are believed to have been established as the result of the meetings between the intruding Aryans and original residents of India, the Dravidians.
The caste system is believed to have been established by the Aryans. The fair skinned Aryans who occupied parts of India established the caste system, which allowed only them to be the priests (Brahman), aristocracy (Kshatria) and the businessmen (Vaisia) of the society. Below them in hierarchy were the Sudras who consisted of two communities. One community was of the locals who were subdued by the Aryans and the other were the descendants of Aryans with locals. In Hindu religious stories there are many wars between the good Aryans and the dark skinned demons and devils. The different Gods also have dark skinned slaves. There are stories of demon women trying to seduce good Aryan men in deceptive ways. There were also marriages between Aryan heroes and demon women. Many believe that these incidences really occurred in which, the gods and the positive heroes were people of Aryan origin. And the demons, the devils and the dark skinned slaves were in fact the original residence of India whom the Aryans coined as monsters, devil, demons and slaves. Normally the date given to Aryan invasion is around 1500 BC. But according to Hinduism experts some of the events in Hinduism occurred much earlier. Some of the events like the great war in the Mahabharta epic is believed to have occurred (based on astronomical research) 7000 years ago.
According to this Hindu experts the word Aryan is a misinterpretation of the original Sanskrit word, Arya. Arya means pure or good in Sanskrit. In the holy Vedas the good people were called Arya. Some of the European scholars of Indian culture in the 19th century were Germans. These German scholars who found that Swastika was also a holy symbol among the Hindus distorted, the word Arya to Aryan.

Subhashitani..
संसारविषवृक्षस्य
द्वे एव मधुरे फले ।
सुभाषितं च सुस्वादु
सद्भिश्च सह संगमः ॥
This is another much talked and the most appropriate Subhashitam, a verse from sanskrit treasure. Here, we will see a practical thing for our day to day life explained so well.
This world has been described as a tree of poison. A cause of all the problems, sorrows, Duhkhamaya is this world. The world is damned to be the field of sufferings by all the wise men, called philosophers or the Rishis.. Buddhists specifically term Punarjanma to be the only cause of sorrow. Punarjanma is the beginning of Sansara. They fight not to be born again and find the end of all sorrows here.
But, everything said and agreed, this world is the benign creation of God Almighty and so has two good produces. The Cteator is kind enough to allow two beautiful things in this world that can be felt proud of and be enjoyed. संसारविषवृक्षस्य द्वे एव मधुरे फले . Nothing is absolutely bad. Wise people can see good in everything, however bad it may be. It is in the eyes of the seer what he sees.
सुभाषितं च सुस्वादु सद्भिश्च सह संगमः...
The 1st good thing is.. The beautiful subhashitani, the words of the wise Risis who express their experiences, their collection of wisdom through them. It is called Apta vachan.. meaning dependable advice from our worthy forefathers who have left their much debated experiences as valued treasure for our directions in life. We can have complete faith in them with closed eyes. The other thing is company with virtuous men and proximity with them. Subhashitani and Sajjanasangati are the two things that the world can offer us as positive. Everything else we consider good ate directly related to the contribution of these two. All other things are related to the bad produces of the world. The more we shun them, the better is the chance of immancipation...Moksha..
Friends, it is my humble presentation for your kind appraisal. You may have a patient reading with a kind comment on them for others to note. Thanks.

Which bad minister is immune to the after effects of his ill advice? Who does not fall sick after eating bad food? Who does not become arrogant when he becomes rich? Who does death spare? Who does not get agitated (excited) by the pleasure a woman can give.
Friends, today we will talk on a different topic altogether. It is the सुहृद्भेद of हितोपदेश ... A brilliant verse written for the pedantic enjoyment of sanskrit literature. Politics at its supreme... The technique applied to deal with others as an advice to the society..
Here, we will see the picture of a bad character, called Durjan दुर्जन.
Beautifully identified. The duplicacy of such a Hippocrat is truly noteworthy. We have them all around us. With us they stay and exploit us. They cheat us in broad day light fully equipped with our faith and reliability. They win over us and we leave everything to them. It is really interesting to learn how they cheat..The pattern vividly picturized through words.

हितोपदेश, सुहृद्भेद
They raise both their hands from far off to welcome you, as if they had waited for you and thinking of you. Their eyes are moist with tears when they see you, so dramatic they can act to convince the pray they plan to hunt. They happily give half their seat for you to sit without being asked. They are restless until they hug you tight. They show a lot of interest by esquiring about wellness of mutual friends. Inside they hide poison while their exterior is too sweet like honey. Such are the acts of villains. Wonder what is that stream of acting called which these rogues have so well mastered all through their lives. They are fully equipped with these technics to take their pray into sublime confidence and them stab from behind.
Friends, this a beautiful painting of a cheat which are available all around us, in temples, in market place, in a public square... Almost all who show extra care to you need to be carefully observed.
Thanks. It is time for you to enjoy.

.......KALIDASA, THE GREAT SOCIAL SCINTIST...
Friends, today is a day, I will take the risk of analysing the greatest ever advice to the womanhood of the world wherever the girl is uprooted from her parents abode for ever institutionally to manage another home, to mingle herself in a new eco system, to interact with a different set of relatives all with practical arrogance and pride of ownership, with a dream to live a conjugal life with a man older in age, unknown till a tie was knotted around her hand with him. In those days, a girl was given...Yes the word is thus meant...Offered because she was the greatest property, wealth, possession a house holder had, in oblation... again mark the word... presented to the God incarnate... the son in law..The most revered relation for a house holder....In an age she was to enter adolescence... Yes, KALIDASA has depicted the reality in the time frame not much different in rural India even now. Naturally, she is to be advised by the eldest member of the family on the technicalities of conjugal issues. Here, the great sage Kanwa, takes the brunt...There was no female member in Hermitage, except students.. We will see the magic of this advice today...I swear to be received by all and sundry in this fraternity, word by word... We have lost the fine thread of tradition in these 70 years our system was taken over by demons.

This is the advice of Kanva to Sakuntala:
“Listen to your in-laws and elders and serve them, look upon the other wives of the King as your dear friends, even when you get angry with your husband keep your cool and do not act on impulse, be generous with your servants, do not be conceited about your good fortunes. By following these dictums you will acquire the status of a true housewife. Those who do the opposite cause great mental agony to the family.
In these four lines, we will see the entire gamut of a young girl
......KALIDASA, THE KRANTIKARI.....
Today, we will see the third of the topmost verses by Kalidasa....The poet who could see the extreme of human relation and the its social values with dignity and propriety in social behaviour. In those days, people put importance on personal glory and ethics in every stage. We will see the glorification of the most sacred institution called relationship what we call today for marriage....Love marriage in those days and the glory it carried. It will be a surprise, friends, in pre Mahabharata age... Today's brow raiser.. love marriage had its dignity...Its status..With glory...And the great Kalidasa has portrayed it in the highest resplendency...
Shakuntala was a deserted baby brought up in a Hermitage in the deep forest far sway from society..In a restricted atmosphere of penance and renunciation to be given away in time to lead conjugal life. She had a devine origin and fell in love with king, Dushyanta and consumed the conjugal relation in the forest itself. The king went away with a promise to come for her hand with due procedure from the sage Kanwa. The fate prevailed and he was cursed to forget his promise putting everything in disarray. The issue came to light and the sage had to send her with a letter the king. We will discuss the letter with its content, the only verse in Kalidasa's verse of four lines that speak the entire institution of marriage thread bare.

We will find the fantastic idea of relationship in Hindu family system. A girl who is an integral part of a joint family born as the integral part of blood and flesh of the parents, brought up with love and affection as the idol of the bosom, taken care of with all the attention, is given to another social unit with pleasure and hope to lead a joint family all of a sudden. We will see on record the principle on which the institution of marriage rested and does now and the sweet relationship between in laws. In KANWA'S voice Kalidasa illustrates the wonder of ancient code of conduct in the institution called marriage... Which is much detested in present days loading the courts with burden. Let's see the magic..
This is the message of Kanva to Dushyanta concerning Sakuntala:
“Considering us hermits whose only wealth is tapasya , your own birth in a noble family, the love of Sakuntala for you in bringing about which her relatives had no role, you, as her husband, should give her an equal status and love among your wives. Anything beyond this will depend on her bhaagya or luck, the relatives of the bride have no say about that. “
1. Love is eternal and it is between stake holders...Two love lorn souls. It never looks into the back grounds of the boy and the girl who are striken with thunderbolt. The most powerful sovereign king of the land sees a forest girl brought up in the lap of the nature and falls in love. He approaches the girl himself asks her love by introducing him properly. He could have forcefully abducted her to his harem. No... He requests and convinces with justification and wins her heart. How decent !! He makes love to her with her will and promises to come back in a few days with proper royal manners to ask her hand from the sage. The girl doesn't cry foul or raises doubt on the man whom she had given her heart and body. She is his wife.
2. The king is cursed because he was thinking of the forest girl he impregnated after willing marriage called Gandharv marriage and neglected his duty of welcoming a guest...Again a sage called Durvasa.
No power or position...Instant punishment because he was none other than the most powerful king by a begging brahmin ti forget whom he was thinking to neglect his duty. Here, the king was not a cheat. He was loyal to his love and promise to the extent he couldn't attend the most ferocious sage. The Sage cursed him most cruelly in the harshest ever term to forget his love because a king has no privacy. His duty for the state is supreme.
3. The sages, the Brahmins had no wealth other than tapasya...Penance..Worship of the truth..Practice of detached life far from the mundane world. For truth and to teach the reality. To understand the truth and propagate.
4. At that time, dowry was a prevailing but in a noble way not to treat it as a burden.. but as a respect to the newly Wed. Kanwa writes.. we are संयमधन.. penance is our wealth. We teach and train... We impart abstract...
5. A father writes to his son in law who has apparently ditched his his promise...his beloved...With respect...Reverence.. he requests with his views..His advice.. his explanatory suggestions what is to be done. No arrogance... No pride of being a cursing machine. He behaves with due respect.
6. He reminds the king of his duty in a sober voice. He reminds the king of his own decision in marrying the girl on his considered will and his duty.
7. He also tells him to give the girl his due respectful position among other Queens. He leaves everything on the judiciousness of the king..Knowing fully well his wrong doing. He respects his in law against his obvious fault.
8. Anything beyond this will depend on her bhaagya or luck, the relatives of the bride have no say about that. See friends.. the system at that time.. the rule was balanced. A woman was treated with respect in the society. Law was strictly enforced and rarely flouted. People in general were pure in mind...Purer than the present days. The girl child was trained to shoulder the responsibility of household with all its creativity. She had her own dignity. And man was self content.
Preferred acceptance to rebellion. No BP.. No tension.... Faith and reliance was the base on which human life moved.
Now friends, it is your time to tell me if I left something or spelt any word wrong... I wish you enjoy more. Please understand Kalidasa, the great.... And the charm of Sanskrit literature. Thanks.

You will find the precarious situation of repudiation of a bride..A forest girl..By the king Dushyanta who faces a stranger..A forest tribal girl claiming to be his wife.... We see plenty of these in courts now a days. Noticeably, there is a great misunderstanding between the parties, both genuine..Not cheats or 420s..One is perfectly truthful..She was weded in Gandharv procedure to the king with genuine grateful acceptance, not forcefully..With mutual agreement and faith. The other was the most famous king who was known for his truthfulness and protector of justice. There was no other mundane witness. Righteousness was in his blood and breaths. No one was aware of the fact of the King's curse and forced forgetfulness.
KALIDASA, THE UNCROWNED KING.
Let me present the second best verse to be acclaimed as the best ever portrayal of human care for flora and fauna in ancient India...The intimate relationship of human life with the plants, vegetations around. A girl, deserted by her mother to be reared by the ascetics in forest environment with purity and innocence, interacts with creepers and plants as if they are humans full of love, care, feelings and friendship to the extent they react to her every interaction with equal magnanimity. It is Kalidasa, only and only Kalidasa who can depict the soft feelings alive in such an accuracy that the sage Kanwa asks their permission to bid good bye when she leaves for husband's home for ever. It is more touching than the previous verse I presented last week.
IV -9
Here Sage Kanva is addressing the trees, plants and creepers of the hermit in the following words:
“She who never wanted to drink water without watering you, she who had such love and affection for you that she never plucked your flowers or leaves though she was fond of adorning herself, she for whom your first flowering or bearing fruit was a celebration, that Sakuntala is going to her husband’s palace. May you all bid her farewell and good bye.”
We will see the following valiant points with the social values up kept with intimacy and accuracy by the humanity at large at that time.
1. Love and affection for friends and nearers and nearers are instinctual in human behavior. Shakuntala, brought up in forest dwellers finds this care and feelings with the creepers and plants in the Hermitage. She plants them, brings up them by regular watering and caring like family members as a way of life required to lead a successful life in later years. She watches them grow up before her own eyes, every day.. She can't drink unless she waters then first.
2. Although she loves to wear flowers as ornaments, she can't pluck them because she loves to take care of them. She can't see them deprived.
3. It was her time to celebratebrate on the first occasion of budding in the creepers and plants. What a human touch, my God. Oh, it is too much my friend to depict so minutely the human life in the eyes of an innocent forest girl.
4. The last if all, Kanwa, the Maharishi, who reared this deserted girl in his Hermitage like his own child, asking the trees, plants, the flora, the fauna who watched this lonely girl brought up among their collective watch, to allow her leave them for her husband's house. The words, pl note friends... This Sakuntala, yours, is now going to her husband's house... Please give your permission, as if nothing was done without active participation and interaction in the social life without consulting flora and fauna.
It is your time now , friends to feel the uncrowned king of ancient literature, the unquestioned monarch... We need to be proud of our wealth friend by recognising ourselves. One verse only, I am sorry, I can't explain with my heart full because you have to curse me. Thanks.

Kalidasa has been universally acknowledged as the highest star in the firmament of Indian Poetry. Tenderness in the expression of feeling and richness of creative fancy has assigned to him a lofty place among the poets of all nations. Sir Monier Willaims says ‘Of all Indian dramatists and indeed of all Indian poets the most celebrated is Kalidasa, the poetical merit of whose " शाकुंतलं " is so universally admitted that any remarks on this head would be superfluous’. Today, we will talk on his masterly portrayal of feelings of human values and the depth of love and care in indian social system in enriching the poetics. We will take one verse from the IVth chapter of अभिज्ञानशाकुंतलं, the best among his creations. Here the master dramatist has depicted the love of an ascetic KANWA towards his foster child Shakuntala, the deserted devine beauty at her birth and reared up in the forest by him while bidding adieu to her while she was led for her husband's house.

स्नेहादरण्यौकसः
पीड्यन्ते गृहिणः कथं नु तनया
विश्लेष दु:खैर्नवैः ॥
The sage Kanva describes his emotions when Sakuntala is being sent to her husband’s place. He says:
“The very thought of separation from Sakumtala fills my heart with grief. My throat is choked by the tears I try to hold back. My eyes have become inert as I am deep in thought. If this is the depth of sorrow of a forest-dweller like me because of my attachment, then how much will be the mental agony of those householders at the prospect of separation from their newly wed daughters.?”
Here, we are appalled to see the depth of understanding of the human love and care towards the daughter at the time of bidding farewell to her for ever. Indian joint family system with its complex and intimate relationship with the members within the family has been dissected thread bare in this verse. A lot of social complexities has been depicted in such small verse which would require hours to analyse. The following points may be noted...
1. A girl child was treated as the core of the family system who was loved by all as a prized member...It will be gare to say the idol of love and care in the family system. She was trained with all types of education including, art, science to lead a family in future at her husband's house.
2. She was treated with respect as the property to be offered in oblation... The most pricious member who would work as an ambassador between to society...To represent one culture at another society.
3. The ascetics dwelling in forests seeking salvation through harsh way of living never failed to rear a deserted baby into full womanhood with all love and care like a householder.
4. A girl child could win the hearts of an ascetic and forest dwellers through her human virtues.
5. The poet depicts the attachment within the members of a household and the extent to which they suffer while departing their sweet daughter for ever to a house of her husband.
6. The depiction of mental agony with its physical impact through words is unbelievably touchy. The throat is choked from withholding the tears..Ah...What a feeling !!
Eyes becoming inert...Not seeing anything although open...The psychological condition of a grief strike father who has not begotten the child...Only fostering her...Ah...Painted through limited words... Imagining the condition of a distant householder who has given birth and reared the girl child with blood and flesh... Ah...It is possible only with Kalidasa...
Now, friends...Please enjoy the magic of sanskrit language and its wealth.

उपदेशोऽहि मूर्खाणां प्रकोपाय न शांतये।
पयःपानं भुजंगानां केवलं विषवर्धनम्॥
This is another sanskrit verse from the gems of powerful quotes from the voice of our ancestors who could depict volumes in a few words. Here, we see how it is futile to advise wayward and useless fellows those who have choosen the wrong path willingly. It is another thing, our free democratic state trus to rehabilitate on social ground. We will see the sound logic behind the advise.
Fools are not a biologically deformed lot with any weakness due to lose on account of external reason like physical deformity, social oppression or mental retardation. Murkhas are those who are afflicted due to under-education and spiritual vices like pride, ego, prejudice, jealousy and greed. They fail to update themselves on their will. Foolishness is violent and ferocious when it is accompanied with young age, wealth and strength. They are equal to all others except their unwillingness to cope up with others.
The fools live in their own paradise with their own set of rules and social values. Any advice to these type of people makes them angry because they won't understand. They are not able to take it positively. Instead of being grateful, they consider it as interference and so can't take it with ease. To exemplify the issue, the verse further says... Feeding the king cobra with milk causes its venom to rise in volume. The milk is the best nourishing element in food chain. Yet it can't have its shooting effect on the unworthy agent. A story I may add to explain...
Once a heavy rain and storm devastated a forest patch. All the wild inhabitants of the forest were helpless and suffered except cave dwellers. The birds were safe because they had their nests. Before them were the helpless monkeys who had no nests and did tremble in cold due to continuous rain and wind. Both the species kept on looking at each other. The birds advised the shivering monkeys to build their own houses at leisure time like them. Monkeys just looked at the birds during the rain and heard everything and the birds felt elated having done their duty by advising great monkeys. Rain decreased and was off completely with the Sun all over. The monkeys were relieved now and the first the they did was destroying the nests of the wise birds.
Here, we can discuss the fact now. Was the advice to monkeys needed and justified ? Did they deserve advice at all cost free ? Monkeys are the king of branches with wisdom, intelligence like humans. They never built houses for shelter from Sun, rain and wild animals because they never felt it wise. Birds, on the other hand, are conditioned to build their nests before laying eggs. They are wise in this regard. Monkeys are seen dying in rainy season due to heavy rain, yet they never build houses. Birds were not wise enough to understand this and received adverse reaction from the fool monkeys who could not understand the good intention of birds in their free advice.
The example of snake speaks this. Our present political, social and national situation speaks this. Indian government is cool and patient in dealing with the anti national elements in Kashmir Cally wishing time will bring wisdom to the Bibhishanas in Abdullahs, Hurriat leaders and all those who are bleeding the nation. A bunch of students chanting slogans against the nation are all fools and they don't need advise. Students coming out of schools and colleges to pelt stone at security forces and unfurling Pakistan flags for years need punishment, not pardon. A lot of corrupt political leaders who gang up to fool the voters need kicking from public life, not pardon and revival.
It is for you friends to comment.

Let me see every creature in this world with a friendly eye. Let the world see me with the same. Let every body in the world see eachother likewise.
पूर्वजन्मकृतं कर्म तद् दैवमिति कथ्यते ।
तस्मात् पुरुषकारेण यत्नं कुर्यादतन्द्रितः ॥
This is a verse from the sanskrit treasure of Subhashitani that is more appropriate in these days of a faulty education system driving the loose socio-economic upheaval. The population explosion with insufficient supply of jobs against free market economy which implores to supply of cash, has a cascading effect on the hopelessness and despair on the mind of the youth who want only white collar jobs. The young man of the present time is a worried one. With a degree at hand, which is acquired at market place as a commodity, not through hard study and knowledge, he is disheartened and forced to break down. Let's see the beauty of the verse.
The childhood is the time to learn through hard study, training and disciplined life. Our time does not allow him to move in a proper way.
1. Our education system is mark oriented. End justifies the means here.
2. Intension is not to acquire knowledge and expertise through discipline, austerity, hard work, practice. Purpose now is to get a certificate with top percentage and make a bee line for job.
3. Political manoeuvre like reservation and pass without examination has degraded the value of the certificates thus obtained.
4. Jobs, as a result, have been in a low supply as a policy by Government which is the main supplier. And the certificate holders are fit for nothing else.
As such, the youth of the present time is a disgusted lot suffering from worries, tension, difficulties and hopelessness. It forces him to be misguided and indulge in violence, high BP, unsocial activities.
More and more young men are giving up hope and loosing faith in the social discipline and are joining groups against established norms.
The main complaint is, they say, inspite of hard work, they don't get their desired effect. Their labour is not productive. They are suffering for what they have not done. This verse explains this angle. The karma for previous life is carried on in this too and is called "daiva" (fate). Hence one should never give up his efforts and work harder. We suffer for something we have not done is not a justified argument. We have to undergo the effect of what we had done in our earlier birth and the result was not enjoyed spilling over to this birth. We must be careful to work on the right path so that we may accrue good results.
Friends, I was a little excess in explaining things. Please bear with it.

द्वाबम्भसि निवेस्टव्यौ गले बद्ध्वा दृढां शिलां
धनवन्तम् अदातारम् दरिद्रं च अतपस्विनम्
There are two kinds of people that deserve to be pushed into deep seas with a heavy stone tied to them - the wealthy who do not do charity, and the poor who do not work hard.
Another beautiful verse from the ocean of sanskrit वाङ्ग्मय that tells us if we pity on others or not... If yes at all, on what sort people. Are there people in specific, on no pity should be made at all ? Do some not deserve generosity, love and other types of heavenly treatment ? Cruelty is sometimes given preference over human virtues. We will see two types of people here those have been pinpointedly earmarked for unkind treatment.
The criterion taken to find out such type of people from this vast ocean of world is the sensitiveness towards wealth.
Wealth has been defined as a material possession which we can spend/enjoy or give. Ownership on a thing is determined by one's capacity to give it to somebody... Transfer its ownership or spend it for his own enjoyment. If you are unable to do any of the act, you are not the owner of the wealth accumulated. All of us are engaged in earning wealth because we need for bare necessities in life. We will see we devide ourselves into two types.
First, people who have earned a lot of money. The second, people who don't earn money in some or the other pretext. Wealthy and poor.
Wealthy people are of two types. People who earn money and justify their ownership by spending for themselves and others in the form of generous activities. They never believe in saving it to an extent they can't use it in their lifetime and see others starve. Some other people know only to earn and never spend it out of excess greed. They find happiness in seeing the wealth piled up.
Another type of of people are cursed to be deprived of wealth. One section of them work their level best to earn, but fail inspiration of their labour and constant effort, as if they are cursed. They spend their entire life in penury but never beg other's help. Self respect is not compromised at any cost. The other kind of poor people choose themselves to be in that condition out of lazyness and lethargy. They prefer to sit idle irrespective of their poverty and low economic condition. They are a versed to hard work and positive endeavour. They prefer to beg than work for any respectful livelihood.
Here, this verse says harshly on the wealthy people who don't utilise their wealth for themselves or give it to others benevolently and the poor section of the society who don't try to earn anything preferring the easy way to beg. These people are so hateful and useless that they may be thrown into the sea with heavy stones tied to their throat as if they are the blackest spot on the society.
Now, it is time friends for your judicious comment. Thanks.

A person who does the things which are to be done and who doesn't do the things which are not to be done; a person who stands by tradition ("prakrutacharo"), is called "Arya".

We will have a beautiful story today to learn the types of devotees seeking blessings from Lord Almighty.. It is a style today to denounce the spiritual sides of the humanity, like aatma, Paramatma, God, supernatural power. Man is arrogant today to believe in what our forefathers left for us. Bhakti or devotion to The Creator is as a weakness of the civilised man. But it is also true that those who are highly knowledgeable and those who are in the lowest strata of the scale do accept the authority of Lord.. a few in the middle do turn faithless due to pride and prejudice.. 😕😕
One day, a man brought four mangoes to his four children busy in playing. Naturally, there was varied reactions from the children. One if them started begging a mango from his father. The second one started crying aloud for one. The third one neither demanded nor cried for one such mango. He just looked at the mango and his father with intensity. The fourth one didnt pay any heed to the development.. He went on playing without taking any notice. Incidentally, each of them was offered with a mango. Here, we found four different types of reactions. The first one is termed as Artharthi..अर्थार्थी... The second one .. aarta..आर्त्त.... The third one is called Jigyasu..जिज्ञासु and the fourth one Gyani ज्ञानी... All four children got a mango each...Their approach was different... Likewise, Devotees approach The Almighty in different ways..All of them are awarded blessings... The ways differ.
Devotees to God are of four types.
1- अर्थार्थी. Those who ask The lord wealth, blessings, beauty, children, and all other material happiness. People do try their own ways like cheating, stealing, gambling and what not...It is better to ask them from the Lord creator... These type of bhaktas are of lowest type...But normal...On the right path. Whatever you want ..You ask the Almighty.. they go to temples...They worship through bhajana.. Kirtan...e.t.c..The prescribed ways.....Your call will not fall in deaf ear. The more you get, the nearer you will be to right path...Nearer to God.. you will understand one day that wealth is immaterial..
2- आर्त्त... The helpless who tries beating his hands and legs..Worries and sorrows will propell one to take shelter of God...Being in problem makes to take various options.. the best option is to look at the Ultimate ...First hand..When in problem, start shouting full throat at the Ultimate asfirst option..Beating the chest...Raising both the hands...Looking at the Ultimate with intense humility.. this is the second higher grade..... If you beg ..Then beg before the greatest....The second child cried and showed his intention with intensity to attract attention.. he got a mango..
3- जिज्ञासु... The inquisitive...He is a step higher.. he doesn't beg...He doesn't cry in despair...He simply waits and watches with curiosity.... He has full faith in his father.. he knows his love for him...He relies on him fully...E malik tere bande ham...Do whatever is good for us.. Unquestioned faith...Undoubted bharosa... These type of devotees have no other wish... They want to learn ..To understand the Lord..The God..They want to connect... They want to find the way to connect.. third night grade...
4- ज्ञानी... The knowledgeable the owners of the Lord. The best one.. he has not purpose to connect..Because he knows he is Him..He has full faith..He doesn't find himself disturbed or perturbed or elated..They don't have any reaction. They see Him everywhere...They don't want anything...They are jibanmruta.. they are the other form of the God... They don't need any thing from Him...They are not devotees...They don't want to connect...They are connected by God Himself... God is interested in them...Not vice versa...These gyanis own the God...God comes to them...The father gives the mango to the fourth son...The son is approached...The Son has right over his father...He doesn't have to ask anything...
As long as the world has a meaning, the soul is among the first three categories of devotees.. the moment the material world loses its importance, the soul becomes ज्ञानी....he knows that everything is Vasudeva....In 18th verse of 7 th chapter, Lord says..O Knowledgeable....You are myself... ज्ञानी ! आत्मा एव मे मतं....
Dhruva wanted the rajya and he straight worshiped Vishnu... He got the world...He also got the moksha.... The second type was Uttara....She was in deep problem and she straight asked the remedy from the Lord...She got it without delay...And the best जिज्ञासु was उद्धब.... He wanted the atma gyana...All three went straight to the Final authority.. and got their wishes fulfilled.. friends, can you cite the Gyani devotee....Who never wanted anything... The Lord went to them...Lord Krishna offered Himself to them...They Owned Him...

Let's discuss on India's foreign policy, today, friends because it is the golden period since independence, if I can say safe. We may term it as Modi doctrine as it concerns the policy initiatives made towards other states by the current government after he assumed office as Prime Minister of India on 26 May,
2014.
The Ministry of External Affairs, headed by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj (the first woman to hold the office since Indira Gandhi), is responsible for carrying out the foreign policy of India. Modi's foreign policy is currently focused on improving relations with neighbouring countries in South Asia, engaging the extended neighbourhood in Southeast Asia and the major global powers. In pursuit of this, he has made official visits to Bhutan, Nepal and Japan within the first 100 days of his government, followed by the United States, Myanmar, Australia, and Fiji. Smt. Swaraj has also made official visits to Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar, Singapore, Vietnam, Manama, Bahrain, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, United States, United Kingdom, Mauritius, Maldives, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, China, Oman and Sri Lanka.
While Chief Minister of Gujarat, and under harsh sanction from Western countries like the United States, Modi made several foreign trips to foster his business links with major Asian economic powers. This included meeting Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe twice in
2007 and 12 and building a personal rapport. He also reached out for investment deals with China and Israel, who sought to increase economic ties beyond defence and agriculture, according to outgoing Israeli Ambassador Alon Ushpiz. He was widely appreciated for his endeavour to organise Vibrant Gujarat, a biannual international business summit, to welcome investment in his home state which also helped build a pro-development and business friendly image.
Modi appointed Ajit Doval, a seasoned intelligence officer, as National Security Advisor. Ajit Doval is believed to be close to the RSS, an organization Modi comes from. On 28 January
2015, only a day after the US President Barack Obama's successful India visit Modi government sacked Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh and appointed Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in her place, Jaishankar was then serving as India's ambassador to the United States. Modi himself was believed to be unhappy over Singh's ability to lead the foreign office and on the other hand impressed by Jaishankar's diplomatic skills in turning the flagging relationship with US into a flourishing partnership. His secondary aides also include Arvind Gupta(deputy NSA) and MJ Akbar(sworn in as the Minister of State for External Affairs).
In her visit to Hanoi, Vietnam, Sushma Swaraj has stressed on the need for an Act East Policy that she said should replace India's over two decade-old Look East Policy emphasizing a more proactive role for India in this region.
Neighbourhood first policy
One of the major policy initiatives taken by Modi government is to focus back on its immediate neighbours in South Asia. Even before becoming the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi hinted that his foreign policy will actively focus on improving ties with India's immediate neighbours which is being termed as neighbourhood first policy in the media and he started well by inviting all heads of state/heads of government of South Asian countries in his inauguration and on the second day on office he held bilateral talks with all of them individually which was dubbed as a mini SAARC summit by the media. Later during a launch event at ISRO he has asked Indian scientists to take the endeavour to develop a dedicated SAARC satellite to share the fruits of the technology like tele-medicine, e-learning etc. with the people across South Asia to complement the currently operating Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme program in the region.
The Indian Ocean region (IOR), which is long been considered as India's nautical backyard, steadily turning into a hotspot thanks to growing Chinese strategic presence over the region's numerous strategically located archipelagos. To counter the recent moves made by China on the name of President Xi's pet Maritime Silk Road project, India started to reach out its maritime neighbours in the IOR with proposals of enhanced economic and security cooperation. The policy towards IOR started to unfold during Sri Lankan president's visit to New Delhi in early February
2015. Following that Modi embarks on a three nations
Yatraa(travel) to Mauritius, Seychelles and Sri Lanka, although Maldives was also initially part of this putreach but recent political turmoil in that country led to last-minute cancellation of the scheduled visit.
On the back of growing Chinese naval activity in the Indian Ocean region, which India considers its area of supremacy, the Modi administration have introduced Project Mausam, which is believed to rival the Chinese Maritime Silk Road(MSR) initiative. Mausam (Hindi: मौसम) which means weather or season in many South and Southeast Asian languages is highlighted because of its profound role in cultural exchanges in region as in ancient time maritime trade used to depend on seasonal monsoon winds. The project which is still in the evolving phase, is being with the worked on with the Cultural Ministry, will focus on the ancient trade and cultural linkages and emphasize on future maritime cooperation in the Indian Ocean region stretching from Southeast Asia to East Africa with the central location of India, from where the ocean derived its name.
Indo-Pacific initiatives...
Modi chose to visit Fiji soon after democracy was re-established in the island country after 8 years. There apart from bilateral meeting, he also met heads of state/government from
14 pacific island states to enhance India's engagement in the region and proposed a 'Forum for India- Pacific Islands Cooperation' (FIPIC) be held on a regular basis.
On completion of the first 100 days of Modi government the External Affairs Ministry published a booklet called Fast Track Diplomacy, show-casing the achievement made in the foreign policy arena. In her first media interaction the minister Sushma Swaraj said the catchphrase for her tenure was "fast-track diplomacy" and said it had three faces - proactive, strong and sensitive. Since taking office the External Affairs Minister held round-table meeting with all Indian heads of missions to the SAARC region, ASEAN region and Middle East separately as a follow up measure to carry forward the leads gained by high-profile visits and exchanges.
Para Diplomacy
One of the innovative idea of Modi government is the introduction of elements of para diplomacy in India’s foreign policy where each states and cities would be encouraged to forge special relation with countries or federal states of another country or even cities of their interest in order.
During the upcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping Town twinning agreement between Mumbai and Shanghai, Ahmedabad and Guangzhou and a similar 'sister states' agreement between Gujarat and Guangdong province of China will likely to be signed. Earlier Varanasi signed partnership agreement with Kyoto.
Friends, from the above enumerated facts, you will agree that India's foreign policy is on the right track as was never before.

श्रीमद्भागवत गीता
18/61
A certain facebook friend of mine was asking for a discussion on this verse of Gita one day. Let's take a dig at the ocean of knowledge...For a little acquisition....Because life is like that...Whatever we have in our heart, is ours. May be we will take this as our gate way to the treasure.
Arjuna, wanted to know about two things. Sanyasa and Tyaga and the chapter 18 started. It is the 61st verse. Lord Krishna, here, explains the most difficult theories...
1 ) The soul is the very part of the Paramatma, Brahman.....
2 ) The swabhav of the entity, jiba is the part of the nature, prakruti..
3 ) The soul itself is chinmaya, form of knowledge when the nature is jada..Inert.
4 ) How is it that the chinmaya soul is controlled by the jada (Inert) ?
Friends, please bear with me.. this is the essence of the entire Gita...Direct from the mouth of Yogeshwar Krishna...The question is ..How is the soul controlled by the the jada ..Nature...The quoted verse is the answer....
The Almighty resides in the hearts of all animals. Entities with soul.. He manages to control the movement of all souls those are placed/established in the machines called bodies... through his Maya...That is illusion...A special divine instrument... This is the meaning in short.
Beautifully metaphoric...
1 ) When the soul is lodged in a body..It (chit maya soul) is influenced by the whims of the Inert body. Just like the passenger has to move in the direction of a vehicle.
2 ) The Almighty is the chief driving force controlling the movement of the soul lodged in the Inert body. Just like ..The power ..May be electricity ..Is the driving force behind the running of the vehicle. As long as the passenger is on the vehicle, he has to move along with the machine. The moment he leaves the machine, he is no longer bonded to the machine. In the same way, as long as the soul is connected to the sense of Me and Mine..with the body, he is bound to be related to the body he has been lodged and is controlled by the Almighty through the nature of the body.. शरीर के स्वाभाव के साथ जुड़ता है जीब....
The nature of the soul becomes polluted or colored being connected with the type of body...Man..Or dog or cow or a plant..And is controlled by the Almighty..
Almighty --> the soul lodged in a particular body
Electricity--> the passenger on a vehicle
The moment, the passenger gets down of the vehicle, he is out of control of the vehicle.
Like wise, as long as the soul has the ego being related to my or mine... He is no more guided by the swabhaav of the body...the soul is free from follies..Happiness..Sorrow....dogness..canness.. manness.... Manushyatwa. Brukshatwa.. kukuratwa...
The nature of the soul is polluted with attachment or detachments...for its relation with body. The soul thus becomes subservient to the nature or swabhav.... Freedom from this subservience to nature makes the soul free from the clutch of Illusion of the Almighty.
The strangest analogy I describe as below..
The electricity has the power to run a machine. But the activities are as per the swabhav of the machine it self. One machine create ice. Another machine generated heat. Both are driven by the same electricity. Thus, the action is guided by the nature of the machine. Not electricity. In the same way, the activities of the soul is guided by the the swabhav of the body it has been lodged in.... Almighty will be the same driving force everywhere.. man's action will be different to a dog's action..Although both have the same blessings of the Almighty.. Yes, both the souls lodged in different bodies will be free from Me or Mine feeling, they will be free from the illusion of The Almighty. ईश्वर के माया से मुक्त हो जाएंगे...
The Almighty is omnipresent... sarvavyapi.. how can He reside in the heart ? Where to find Him ?
Water is everywhere in the form of vapour, liquid form and solid ice form. How do we get it ? We go to a well or a river or to the crap. Thus, we can locate the Almighty in the heart of all animals and plant. It is your expertise to trace Him. Have faith in Him..He is near you... If you don't rely ...He is the most elusive entity... ଭାବକୁ ନିକଟ, ଅଭାବକୁ ଦୂର.... पुकार से प्यार है इन्हें.. .. दौड़भाग से बहुत दूर..
It is a long text. Sorry.. I couldn't limit it.

उत्तमाः आत्मना ख्याताः
पितुः ख्यातः च मध्यमः
अधमाः मातुलातख़्याताः
श्वशुराच्चाधमाधमाः ....
It will be nice to discuss the gradation of man in the society on the basis of his relationship. Man, by virtue of his ability or worth , should claim his place in the social ladder. But, crafty people have their own ways. They find ready shortcuts to occupy their suitable stages. We will see how curious they can be..
' दैबायत्तं कूले जन्म मदधीनं च पौरुषं ' thundered Karna, the most neglected, the most tragic hero of Mahabharata.. When he was denounced for his ancestry on the platform for test of valoure.....And generations that followed that moment, his name was taken with dignity. He was the unsung hero of the civilisation. The whole world bowed before him. He was defeated not for his weakness...But fir the fate...Fate was questioned for injustice meted out to him only.... He won with even when he fell to others' scheme...उत्तमाः आत्मना ख्याताः.... The best of the people are made of their own effort. They stand on their feet and carry the whole world on the edifice supported on those feet.
There are people who take the name of their parents for their own identification. Not out of respect to their ancestry... Lineage.... They fail to establish themselves at the top. They inherit the name of their established parents. These people have gone to the lowest level of behavior when they stoop to a new level to demand reservation because their parents were of a particular caste.
Lower to the middle type of men noted above are those who feel proud of their maternal uncles. Obviously, they are deprived of the best two types of identification. Parasitic attitude can lead to strange corners...
श्वशुराच्चाधमाधमः..... When people are hell bent to take others' help, they can have strange bed fellows. Some tend to seek the help of their Father-in-laws because they don't have any other. But, it creates a new height when they opt it with other options available. It is an abnormality in human character like gay attitude...The third gender..These types are the worst type of men, so far as living with dignity is concerned.
Man, by virtue, seeks a viable place among his social contacts, tries his best to impress others.... To have safest niche in the wall is his natural choice. Achievement of the goal through hard work....Going through tough competition is not the natural choice by default. Riding piggyback ....to manipulate others fortune .. to steal the hard earned fortune of somebody else is profitable for crafty evils and the society is full of such pickpockets. People manage to stand on the high ground erected with sweat and blood of others. My discussion is on this topic today. We won't find Karnas of Mahabharata today....Ekalavyas are not seen for the second time on this earth.

The ultimate is He...Who can bless the final salvation..Liberation from all circuit of birth and death. No God else can bless it.
योगक्षेमं बहाम्यहं.... The great punch line of LIC... People ask themselves if this line was famous thanks to the generosity of the insurance company. Who is first..The egg or the hen...People feel proud to own portions of the earth. And the Almighty is worshiped in big temples out of generosity of His devotees... Paintings, crafts, idols, pictures...Thirty three crore of God's and Goddesses...First, all of them are protected by mortals with a hope that they will reciprocate.....In time of need...To earn wealth..Power...Children.. रुपं देहि, यशोर्देहि, श्रियं देहि त्वमेबच... पुत्रं पुत्रं प्रपौत्रं च देहि मे गणनायक.... Man worships them with much fanfare to get beauty, fame, wealth and sons and grand sons and then great grand sons...So that he can live for eternity.
Earn Punya to go to heaven...Exhaust the earned punya and come down to the earth to earn again punya...The circle goes on..
Lord Krishna assures here not to earn by your own judgemental action.. simply take shelter in Him. To surrender completely... No action with bloating... To rely on His authority... Raising of hands... Accept Him as the Ultimate.. then He will protect you. He will see how you connect with Him.He will see how you stay connected to Him. Only one thing you have to doo.. Reliance.. Faith..... Then your task is over... He will guide you to cross the never ending cycle of death and birth... Yoga...Connecting with the goal...Connecting with Him... Kshama.... Protection of your achievement... He will guard you from missing the path... Responsibility is His.... भटकने नहीं देंगे... जुड़के रखना भी उन्हीं का काम... Worldly objective like material gain is not the issue. अनन्य भक्ति doesn't connect you with Fake Babas like these making bee line to jails. It means complete surrender. You don't need to offer bribes...Build temples every nook and corner of the street. To shout with loud speaker..To raise donations... To arrange processions... LIC is careful to put it as its slogan as if it will increase your money and protect it .. it's workers..Agents..Officers will demand pay increase every six month...

तीक्ष्णधारेण खड्गेन वरं जिह्वा द्विधा कृता ।
न तु मानं परित्यज्य देहि देहीति भाषणम् ॥
Let me touch the weakest point of human character today, friends. It is one of the lowliness all living beings have been cursed and all use it to survive in the harshest situation this living planet offers along with all the niceties except the human being who is treating this as an opportunity... More and more is seen in his behavior pattern as we progress ahead materially with the civilization. We will talk on begging.
Begging is the most compromising aspect of human behavior. It is done as the last resort to escape death. All animals except humans obey this rule and avoid this wretched action...treated as taboo. A lot of literature has been written on this issue. Unfortunately man has adopted it as the easiest way to acquire material richness. It is said to be the worst way to earn livelihood. भिक्षा नैब च नैब च....Man looses his ego, self respect and personality and feels ashamed while asking a help from others. The Almighty has blessed each soul who comes to this earth with equal biological richness to sustain life for a life. A heart, brain, liver, a digestive system, kidneys, and what not...The same opportunities at the time of birth, if we don't take material inheritances into account. A self respect with a profound capacity of faith in the creator is the the capital sufficient to lead with the bounties of air, water and flora and fauna... It is another matter, if almost the whole humanity is after freebies in all form. Free meals, free rations, free jobs through reservation policies like various yojanas run by governments...People now fight to be included in BPL lists..Food security, job security, allowances ,advances ..Even we have corrupted the finest devine virtue of learning. The golden rule of survival of the fittest and the urgent to be fit has been compromised.
The present verse is quoted from the finest treaty called सुभाषितरत्नसमुच्चय. The verse is the most befitting one for the present day man.
वरं बने ब्याघ्रगजेंद्र सेवनं, न बंधुमध्ये धनहीन जीवनं..It was said once. If one gets poor, better to run into forest and live among wild animals.. but it is not good to beg alms...
Thanks, if you have come this long, friends. Pl excuse if I have transgressed my right to comment on this sensitive topic.

Today, let's take a verse which is in contrast to another well accepted dictum, always in handy whenever required at discussions and debates...
Social interactions take sanskrit shubahitanis as an authentic source of advisory. Sometimes, we fail to understand them in their right perspective. Like the line I quoted last Sunday, महाजनो येन गतः स पन्था... वेदस्य अर्थः निहित गुहायां....Due to ignorance, we carry on quoting right things in wrong ways...
Social interactions are the prime characteristics that prove man as civilized.. Man took the first step towards being civilized when he formed the joint family concept for security from external aggression...From savage animals those outnumbered him in early days. Understanding others and being understood is the first step in being social. Convincing others and being convinced is the hardest task ever. How to win friendship and convince others is the question that haunts man from early days till date...On this, books are written by Dell Carnegies, Nepoliyan Hills and so many others to be sold as hot cakes..But these are contained a few words ..In the form of verses..
Friends, you must be facing hesitation while speaking truth..Because it hurts somebody by it. You may be facing problem to tell a nice thing to somebody to please him because he is wrong. One is always in trouble in dealing with truth and a lie... Something pleasing and something harsh. Manners make us to be decent with others and right or wrong come between ... We think twice. Then comes before us a verse
सत्यं ब्रूयात प्रियं ब्रूयात न ब्रूयात सत्यमप्रियं
One should tell the truth and one should tell nice to others.. one shouldn't tell truth if it hurts others.. And here comes the necessity to define truth and untruth. Truth or untruth are not what we see in our bare eyes... Relative terms are these.. a thing is truth if it brings benefit to others.. if it does harm to somebody, it is not truth.. if by telling a lie you help others, it is not a lie.. Ah, how nice this definition looks.. ! We treat this as the gospel truth...never say a truth which is harsh.... ? Ha ha ha... How many people you can satisfy by telling a lie ?Only somebody who is immediately affected.. Isn't it ? A thing which is beneficial to a limited number of people may be harmful people in general...If you harm a person or some people by telling the truth, in the long run, it may help the public at large... Then what is the reality ? Here comes the truth..
Every man is faced with both choices. The good, and pleasant (tempting... but not ethical). A wise man takes his time, thinks and chooses the good even though it is not pleasant. A foolish man chooses the pleasant with only the short term gains in mind.
Here comes the right definition and the pertinent one. Talking pleasant is not always ethical although is always tempting. It wins the immediate listener... The good thing spoken is not received seriously. How many speak the truth ? Short term achievement is not the right thing. Rules and regulations are not palatable to be observed. Disciplined life style is hard to be implemented..Our politics...Democratic values...
Have got rotten because of this short term gains..Entire villages have been termed as BPL...Food grains are being supplied at the rate of one rupee per kilo. Except Brahmins and a few other sects, the whole population are vying to be under reservation.... Anti nationals are openly trying to undermine national integrity. And mainstream national political entities are leaving no stone unturned to shame the national feelings....
The earlier verse was not the right thing. Truth should not be always pleasant.
Thanks. I wish this may be well explained..

The typical dichotomy is that almost everybody wants the result of Punya...But doesn't want to practise it. It is because perfect behaviour with disciplined life style is difficult to stick to wishing to come to the right path is easier... But coming to the right path and sticking to it is the harshest thing. Everybody is afraid of the result of sin...But all engege in wrong doings..This is the strange behaviour of humanity.. Duryodhan says to Lord Krishna..Janami dharmam na cha me pravrutih.. janamyadharnam na cha me nivritti..
Nobody wishes Sin..But takes every care to commit it knowingly.. Punya is the most sought after thing...But nobody engegages him to earn Punya... In Mahabharata..We see the following g gem..
People want to enjoy the fruits of good deeds, but don't want to perform good deeds. They don't want to be punished due to their sins, but continue committing those sins even after knowing that it is a sin.
Violence, greed, jealousy, telling a lie are all bad things..Everybody know these bring bad result...Yet every body practise them. Thousands of innocent animals are butchred in broad day light knowing this as bad. People who never forget to go to temple..Stand in a queue to see the animal killed alive for their meat. In the name of religion, barbarians force others to convert or get killed so that this would give them a ticket to heaven.
Papa and Punya, let me say are relative terms to be defined in no certain propriety way.. and they are of no absolute meanings. Along with Gods and Goddesses, they are to be realised and made by human mind for apecific purpose of social value. Whatever is a sin for somebody, mY be virtue to another mind. One thing is clear...Whatever is for the beneficial for a soul is Punya...And if it has an evil intention behind it,it is sin however way it may be eulogised.... ମନ ତୋହର ନିଜ ଗୁରୁ..... ଉଦ୍ଧବ କେତେ ତୁ ପଚାରୁ..... Always ask your conscience....If it approves, it is Punya... But the conscience must be supported by clean outlook and polished background to support with trained in social sciences..
It is for you now, friends...To analyse this verse from the Mahabharata.....That is famous as it says. ଯାହା ନାହିଁ ଭାରତେ... ତାହା ନାହିଁ ଭାରତେ... Whatever you won't get in Mahabharata, you won't see in the vishwa brahmanda...
We will take this super verse today for our discussion. The most outstanding topic for present day concern is this one with large perspective in our day to day life and everybody is concerned while quoting a Sanskrit verse in his own way because, it is so. We talk a lot of things and want others to listen to us. But actually we are not correct in our perception. This is the hard fact we will see today through this gem.
Let me tell you this story in short so that it will be presented clean before we go to the theorem...
In brahmin household, offering a shraddha to deceased forefathers was a bit cumbersome due to dithering away from the basic principle of shraddhaa... Which is the only thing needed for such annual sacred rituals which requires the remembering of our departed dears and nears together institutionalised by social engineers. Niceties are required to offer nice oblation in the form of oblation. This naturally attracts pets like cats to interfere into the affairs. Once, being disturbed by the pet, the master of the house ordered to cover the black cat under a big wooden net available in the Indian households in those days so that the pet would be safe with the ceremony going on undisturbed. This was keenly observed by the child who was also interested in the sweet food mixed with ghee, milk, fruits like oranges, honey, curd and prepared for the occasion. He also observed the incident with childlike inquisitiveness. The ceremony was conducted with devotion and care and left an in impression on his alert mind. Days passed with the same practice. Every house hold had pets in those days and cats were the the most lovable ones taking benefits of the soft corner in human heart. The master passed away in due course and the child had grown up as the master to conduct the anuual oblation to his forefathers with traditional devotion. At that time, unfortunately, there was no cat in the changed circumstances in the house. The young man while conducting the ritual as he had observed every years till that date, suddenly remembered that a black cat has to be covered under the large wooden net near the earten lamp.. (dipa or diya). The ritual stopped until a black cat was found from the adjacent households. Thus the system went on years after years. The basic fact here is that the child simply observed the happenings without understnding the motto behind the point. And nobody took to explain the matter because it was not felt necessary at that time. In our lives, from time immemorial, a lot of things have been in our behavioral system, we are just carrying them on without any justification.
The same has happened with our tradition, faith, belief, life style and behavioural practice. They have affected our ideas and attitude in subtle way... We have been heavily complexed... We take care of our sacred threads( upabita... janeu) as a custom and observe it to the last syllable with tilak in various forms..And sing laurel ..In honor. But we have forgotten the sacred thought behind it. To tell the truth, to help the needy, to keep away from greed, to lead a simple life, to bow head before the elders, to treat all animals with live and affection and so on...Those are kept in our mind with the symbol... those who sing loud for the ritual never tell the basic idea because they have not been taught. Some people observe prayers five times a day with discipline while killing innocents for jihad..
Vedas were never a written and documented because they were not meant for business purpose. They were the picture of the best knowledge and wisdom of the ancient sages, seers, those who observed the nature the life with interest of early humans... Without vested interest, without the modern duplicity.. due to want of technology, these principles and experiences were recorded through memory and passed to the posteriority through teaching. Naturally they were misrepresented in due passage of time through multiplicity of the social system of individual teaching and learning process. They were called Shruties... Heard tenets...And in due course of time, when got contested by various schools for authenticity, debates took place and corrections were made for interpolations with mutual understanding. These were called supplementary to basic Vedas...Shruties as Smritis...Correction to the faulty memory line. Now ..In these days when the modern civilisation has almost forgotten these hidden treasures, the ancient ways of life.. these classics are revisited at leisure to be astonished.
We have lost the interest to decipher them..The language and the thought and following whatever has been presented before us in distorted way. We just look at the name who has said..Without understanding what he said and start chest thumping..Just see the name... Confucius, Voltaire, Tolstoy.. must be good and let's quote.. Manu or Kautilya..Ah..Leave it...No votes... People write on Greek sculpture, italian paintings,Monalisa and what not.. we have not heard Bharat Muni, the father of poetics, dramatics and art, culture and what not. We have been taught not to read indigenous knowledge sources... Lenin, Stalin, Napoleon, Hitler and other mass murderers are our heroes... Marx...The God of terrorists, the propounder of Marxism is the first text any economist vying for Nobel must have. We have to keep on advocating for reservation because that is the first lesson necessary to believe before entering politics..Dealing with social service.
Friends, the verse I have quoted has so much in it that I can't say the full to your hearts content. We have left the meaning of our Vedas somewhere inside the cave before we marched ahead with false and distorted ideas.... We only follow the path, not the path breakers.. we see the glamour, the colour... Not the inner beauty and the effort made to bring these ideas into form. Many an experts we have before us and we have not learnt to choose the right one... Fake Baba's mislead us because we allow ourselves to believe those who preach us to devote ourselves fully before them. Those who have long beards, those who groom long hair, those who have highest number of devotees, those who come on television to preach highfy... Womanisers and lost characters have highest followings.. openly advised not to ask questions...Only to follow blindly...Women are left alone by triple talaqs and the community is without eyes raised. Religion preaches to go anti nation.. to kill animals... And fellow humans ... Let me stop here. Thanks.

Friendship is possible only among equals.. equal in status, equal in age, in earning, in social standard, in caliber, in conduct, in likings and dislikings... Otherwise friendship doesn't last longer... It fades. Friendship between Krishna and Sudama was one sided. Sudama never dared treat the Lord. Krishna, on the other hand was helpless to cinvince him His love. The Gopies never keep the Lord with them.. But Duryodhan and Karna were bound with mutual.love and respect. Friendship beteeen Krishna and Arjuna was not real...Whereas Draupadi and Krishna were true friends.. we can trace out not so.many examples because true friendship is rare....We can ask ourselves ..In millions and billions we can't trace a pair. Saying hi hello is another thing...A friend never compromises..
It is said, the strongest bond is possible between friends. Friendship surpasses all reservations and adjustments.
Let's quote the finest ever verse from Panchatantra.. Mitra samprapti section. We will see the real test if friendship on the scale of their mutual treatment ...Ah..Heads bow down before the technique of defining the friendship. How they behave..How they treat each other...How they react with caution... How they respect to preserve it for life...The relation is on test at every stage of life..at every moment..How they risk it at slightest misgivings...Friendship is maintained with mutual care and understanding.
Let's test our friendship in our life, on these platforms. I am yet to.find a real.friend and I am proud of my opinion. I am not in blind belief at least. But one thing I am sure, I will have a friend one day before I breath my last.

Friends greet each other with mutual respect.
The following six are the tell-tale signs of love - sharing (giving and taking), telling and keeping secrets, sharing food (feeding and being fed).
कृष्णात्परं किमपितत्त्वमहं न जाने..........
I know none else than the fact of Lord KRISHNA.
I was once asked to clarify on various terms like karma, akarma and so on by one of my most intimate friend . The topic was so vast and so important that I borrowed some time to discuss at leisure... And this the opportunity I want to take with your permission....The Sunday morning hour..
Various types of karma and its offshoots like akarma, bikarma, duskarma e.t.c. we get to hear everyday and we also use a few of them.... Strangely not knowing their meaning.... all these terms bear higher spiritual connotations. Lets discuss them in the light of Lord Srikrishna's clarification in Srimadbhagabadgita i.e. the only authentic ones. All these are exclusively and extensively analysed in Karma yoga.
Great thinkers are misguided while finalising what karma and akarma are. The functions of body and the various sense organs... indriyas.... are taken as karma and the distinction as akarma... Na karma...Is said as akarma. In reality the function of mind, voice and body along with all the sense organs are called Karma. Kayika, vachika and manasika... Action is defined on the platform of intention..Purpose. if your intentions are noble, whatever you do will be treated as good work... Sukarma or higher standard of karma... Sattwika karma.... If it has a vested interest of self fulfilmenr, it is of middle standard or rajasika... If the intention id harmful to others or negative, it us tamasika...Or lowest order... the same Karma with different intention is good ir bad. For example.... A man helps others.. here, if the man goes on to help others with a positive outlook for no gain or lose, it is called seva....And it is done spontaneously.. Sattwika it is. The same man, if wants to help others with an intention to get vote when he fights an election...It is not pure seva.... It is quid pro quo and so is rajasika. If the same man helps others to impress the helped person not to vote his opponent...It is tamasika.... Thus karma is not same...The intention behind the action defined the standard of the karma.
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, we have in physics... Karma has falabandhana... Or the effect of the karma. The result of the karma..... Decides its karmatwa.. when somebody dies karma with out expectations of its result...It is no more karma... It is akarma... Strange....The general idea is also this... Na karma ...Akarma....najnya tatpurusha samasa.... Clear...Now. expectation of result ..It is karma.. noexpectation of result, it is akarma.(. don't interpret akarma as wrong action or duskarma..)
Karma is bandhana karaka because it has fala ichha... Akarma has no expectation of result.. so it is not bandhana karaka..It is called akarma..
Karma....Fala ichha..Result oriented...Hence leads to bondage..Bandhana karaka..
Akarma..No phala ichha..No expectation of result...No bandhana...Dies not lead to bondage
Here, we see one important thing hidden. Tyaga of Karma.. getting rid of karma..Leaving the activities for good. Forsaking action...You Abondon action..That is akarma ? Leaving expectation of result of the action. This is also of three types based on intention behind the akarma. If you forsake the expectation and attachment positively.. it is sattwika... If you forsake out of fear of result..... It is rajasika and not pure akarma... If you Abondon karma out of fear of body exertion, it is tamasika...
We get another term.called aasakti...Attachment with the result...Phala ichha..Aasakti with the result differentiates karma from akarma..
In the battle field, Arjuna was afraid of the karma..Action of fighting out of fear of loosing his dears and nears. Here, karma was with phala ichha..Expectations of rajya labha..Expecting of winning the battle...Expectation of vanquishing his opponent... War..Fighting..Killing..All these were karma...Because if anticipation of result. Arjuna was trying to forsake the action of fighting out of fear of loosing his relatives.
He was advised not to be linked with expectations of result.. to be unattached.. to move with out phala ichha.. to fight without expecting the result of bloodshading..To do the akarma
The same action of fighting and killing enemies..
Earlier it was with fear of loosing relatives.. expectation...Karma it was..
He was advised to do the same thing with out attachment to the result...Without thinking of the result..To fight whatever may be the result... With out pre calculation.... Akarma..
Friends, it is a bit tedious to concentrate on it... It is by Lord Krishna... Not by any human brain.. if we understand..We are fortunate.. I have tried my level best..
Friends, today, we will touch a very sensitive point from Srimadbhagabadgita which has stired the social harmony because of its wrong interpretation by certain vested interest to malign the divinity of the treaty which is unique and unsecond in its profound origin and great utility in our intelligent life. Much effort have been made to misinterpret great works like Tulsidas's Manasa and Gita those are accepted with great reverence all over the world as something which can't be produced by human mind. Some Bibhishanas from this soil of Rama and Krishna have taken vow to burn the cottage in which they were born. The great Tulsi is often quoted to have said against the womanhood and here, Lord Krishna is maligned to have created the cast system...Quoting from the Gita...Said to be uttered by the Almighty.
Here, in verse No.4/13, Lord Krishna is propounding the greatness of Karma and the extent of its pure divinity. The identity of man has been decided into four sects as per their qualities and virtuousness. The entire creation was His Leela..The action without any sense of ownership or egocentric feeling. Man was His prime creation as he was endowed with intelligence. Therefore, chaturvarnyam was meant for him. Human race was devided into four types on this basis of his activities. Those who were engaged in devine activities like helping others through supreme quality activities like teaching, curing from illness, training... explaining the mysteries of nature, praying and worshiping supernatural elements for lesser intelligent and otherwise engaged people were termed Brahmins and were in the highest strata of social ladder. They were related to temples, devine sources, social services and propagation of values in life and so we're treated with reverence. Some others who were healthier than others with strength and braveries found efficiencies in fighting and protecting others from external aggrassion were the second highest in social order... They ruled the society with force for law and order and lived with dignity as kings. They were called Kshatriyas. Some others found the supply of daily used articles like food, clothes and other used in daily living and earned their livelihood from a profit earned on the dealing. They were of 3rd grade. The rest who could not find themselves in above three activities made their earning from working for the above three groups of people. They were in the lowest section on the cadre. In early social order, when man was being settled in the civilisation, this division was ordained by their proficiency in working ability. Nobody forced them to be in one or the other group. Whenever somebody earned efficiency in some other work culture, he was free to upgrade or degrade as per his working proficiency. Here barna was meant for color or section.. not jati or caste. When Lord says ..I have created four Varnas..He doesn't say of caste... It is a matter of social evil that cropped up into the social behaviour that gave birth to traditional work culture due to continued Woking efficiency acquired through practice. The work was confined to a specific section owned by father to son transmission of experience or from teacher to disciple gotra system.
Now, let's find out who misinterpreted and what was their mission. Mankind is worst affected by the self destroyers from the within.... gruhavedies.... Jealous elements with bunch of complexities who find pleasure in negativism. We have rationalists....Those feel they can go up in social ladder by negating the established standard prevailing in society...Not necessarily the evil ones...To denounce everything our seniors have established....To prove a point of social evil, they need not work hard....The easiest way is straight way denounce everything that is old...Even the existence of parents or God.... Attacking the established norms like Great epics and scriptures is the cheapest way for them. Followers are there in plenty whatever you do. Whoever shouts earns easy attention. Destructive attitude is given ground so easily. Our beloved commies are successful in these sort of activities because they took the advantage of another back boneless ruling party for long time of 70 years. We have to clean now through proper analysis.
Friends, let's take a verse from Shrimadbhagavat Gita which is the most relevant in our day to day lives. It is often quoted by big souls, by learners most, and by whoever wants to have a little faith in the Almighty and His grace. It is the sublimity, the unconditional devotion that brings the modests, the innocents, the dedicateds to offer the confidence only in His feet because they have nothing that can be offered to the creator of everything. Let's discuss now ...
The soul has one weakness, apart from being with the oneness with the Creator , that is attached to Maya...Attributed with mind, buddhi, chitta, knowledge and others like six positive and negative things like love, pity, generosity, anger, greed e.t.c. The soul forgets the real quality of itself and is involved in materialistic world and the trait of action. He treats the rituals and mantras to be the real way to reach the Lord...The real goal...He forgets that the baby doesn't need any special training to communicate with the mother, his source... He forgets that his mother doesn't need any language to understand her flesh and blood. The soul forgets that the Ultimate is different from the innumerable Devas and Devatas.....He fails to understand that the Lord wants to see the Elephant, the Draupadi, the Rantideva, the tribal woman called Shabari ...in all of us who could feel Him..Who could own Him...Who could dedicate themselves without any condition raising hands with full faith...Surrender....Queen of Viduraji could offer the banana peal instead of the banana and Lord Krishna took it with satisfaction. You don't need tons of gold, ornaments, cash to offer for his blessings.. you don't need to build temples in every street corner.. you offer a coconut..Offer a fruit...Offer a flower....Offer a lead if you have it in hand. ...Simple drops of water can please Him ....Just think of Him, He will knock at your door.....And it is the only truth. Simply forget your being...Ownership ...You belong to somebody....Offer your own self.... Somebody is there to own you... Only thing is necessary...That is complete surrender. If you want to offer your morsel, He will take it and you will be satisfied... Be one with Him... He knows one thing...Dedication...Bhakti...Oneness...
You won't travel...He will come to you...Feel Him....He is with you.... Eat or drink yourself...But think of Him before you do it... Price of metals, sweets, ghee, offerings consisting of material world..Has no meaning in term of spirituality...
OK, friend.. thanks for reading this. If it touches you and brings a milimter towards Him, I will be grateful.

......TO THINK OVER AND RETHINK....
Last day I happened to listen to a debate on national anthem. Various speakers were participating with their views and it was quite a scene to notice the degradation in the value of public debating. The participants were cutting across a wide spectrum.of public life of the country. All were veterans like Sunil Chopra, a sworn communist with glossy white beards, Waris Pathan, a lawer of Aimim ..Nalin Kohli a BJP spokesperson, Punachha... Congressi..Kumar Ketkar, a journalist , GD Buxi the vocal nationalist in Khaki... What pained me is the callous attitude of some who never knew how they are the killing the sense of national pride, the very feeling of patriotism through their biased views. The most bizarre was the commie who.looked like Gopabandhu Dash, invoking a sense of respect and immense reverence because of his age and the get up of a person who would invoke patriotic feeling through his sagacious words not until he opened his mouth. Oh.....So disgusting was his words....My God.. one word from his mouth was enough to get the blood boiled. Why communists are disappearing from the earth was clear. He felt proud to stand in honour when Korean national anthem was being sung. But he was not ready to stand for 52 seconds for Indian national anthem in the cinema hall. Had he age in his side, he wanted to be stalin to buldoze everybody else. Most badal he was against any sense of patriotic feeling fir our nation because it is being ruled by BJP. The Ketkar, sworn to be the blind sympathiser of Congress party, was astounding in speaking senseless against the standing up for the national anthem with all his journalistic caliber.. and so was the representative of AIMIM who were sworn enemy of anything that is nationalistic. They were on the way to demolish anything that is public decency, thanks the anchor of the debate who squeezed out every ounce of the hatred these anti national elements under the cover of fundamental right guaranteed by the constitution of the greatest democracy under the Sun. Here is a doubt if Indian democratic values have been eroded to such a low...That it has lost its relevance. The old man with huge moustache who was swearing by the nation...The army...The sense of propriety was on the verge of breaking into tears... Nobody took.notive of it. Demolishing every honour, every propriety, every niceties, everything that is called nationalistic was so enjoyable by those are protected under the system was on the public exposure..Not for the first time. But was so painful.
I couldn't resist it bring before you, the agony, the pain of being humiliated.
Good day, friends.
It is so nice to speak the heart through Shubhashitani verses. And here is a very effective instrument for handling relatives, friends, dears and nears. We commit mistakes or sins in three broad ways. Bodily, in words and above all in mind. Our mind is the chief originator of all others. But, due to executive imperfection, some avoidable slips ocuure through our words and physique and extra unintended wrong occurs. Here we will discuss the effect of words. When we do a certain task at hand, some sorts of precautions are needed for the smooth execution of the it safe and unhindered. The technical points of dealing with others so that dignity is preserved is dealt with by keeping the plan secret. When the task is a long plan or if important mission, the secrecy is equally of high order.
A person is a multi faced social entity. He is treated and perceived in as many contacts he comes with. Like blind people feeling the same elephant have different opinions, so is the individual. One for his wife, another for his father, mother. His brothers and sisters count him as a contender in receiving love and affection, wealth from their parents. Children treat him as the unconditional protector. Wife considers him as the sole property of hers. Friends differently treat him. Lovers is a new concept now a days... His heart throbs for somebody else with tuning. The enemy considers him the only target for all the negative dealings. The same person, but such huge sea of perspectives. Therefore, such an elaborate arrangement of speaking out and secrecy.
One must hide a little secrets from wife, relatives, friends or children. Not everyone need to be told everything. A wise man must think 'to tell or not to tell a lot according to the task at hand. This will create harmony in life. Sometimes a secret is positive in social life. Balancing a peaceful social interaction needs expertise and care.
Whatever is welcome by ones wife, may not be so to your mother, because both are central units in a joint family structure. If you open up your plan for your children's future, that may not be taken heartful by your dependant brothers and sisters. Your concern for your friends may be a cause of heartburn to your wife. Therefore, you have to tread on cautiously in every step of your complex life. Simplicity is a way of life. Lets see a practical side. A lot of my friends simply read my posts and are amused. Some comment, some like and some of them do both. But a lot of them don't do any of these responses. they keep silence. Their silence has different meanings. Some simply are happy to read them regularly and wait to see the posts first and fast. They love the posts. Some don't read them at all and consider them useless, but have to pass on not to offend me by unfriend or blocking. Some are casual..... others take interest.... yet all are my friends. my dealing is different as per my human fallibility. Some follow me and my style with interest... as I do... some friends are there who use my posts as an opportunity to mark my follies, my weakness, my fault..... some want me prosper and so encourage me.... all are my friends. they teach me.... they give me enormous happiness and feelings. But social behaviour has its own value base. If you open up your mind or heart without practical reservation, you will end up in a great failure. A bad fish can destroy an entire pond. And your wrong handling can ruin your life. Co operation and social interaction is a technique acquired through training and education and careful practice.
Ok, friends. Time for your comments if you wish to teach me my shortcomings...to indicate options for progress. I have experienced the meaning of this verse to the last syllable. One of my friends made another's life a hell because the later told everything in confidence and he is still suffering the pain with the never healing scar. I can vouch the applicability of the verse. Keeping secrets and confidentiality is the greatest requirement for a healthy relation.Thanks.
It is Mahabharata's Udyoga parva that we will discuss a verse from, today..It is appropriate to the present day irony of character, if I may say so. When everything was in a no nonsense situation between Parties, one taking the upper hand of situational advantage through evil means and the other going by the rule book of whatever was taught to them, effort was made to avoid war through counselling, fear psychosis and technicality. This is a verse from the chapter which has immense captivating value to the readers.
Let me mention a few lines on the epic Mahabharata.
The Mahābhārata is the longest epic poem known and has been described as "the longest poem ever written". Its longest version consists of over 100,000 verses or over 200,000 individual verse lines (each shloka is a couplet), and long prose passages. At about 1.8 million words in total, the Mahābhārata is roughly ten times the length of the Iliad and the Odyssey combined, or about four times the length of the Rāmāyaṇa. W. J. Johnson has compared the importance of the Mahābhārata in the context of world civilization to that of the Bible, the works of Shakespeare, the works of Homer, Greek drama, or the Qur'an.
These two are sharp thorns that hurt the body (and mind) very much - a poor man's desires and weak man's anger.
Never can such a beautiful analytical portrayal of human behavior be presented in eight compound words and that is the charm of Sanskrit language which mathematics accuracy, the advent of formula. I can't be termed as boasting, if I say so.
It is the complexity of human behavior that has been explained here. The tragic sensitivity of helplessness in a man who is weak and poor who is bound not to dream...who is restricted in his aspiration to deal with his counterparts has been so finely spoken is discussed here..in this two liner.
Poverty is the state of death alive, to a man, it is aptly said. Life, tormented by poverty, is a curse. All the good qualities, knowledgeability, virtues and honesty are useless and treated as weakness of a man by the society. Wealth is not everything for a noble life, but want of wealth is the biggest constraint in a man's ability. Desire, wish and will to do good work are all meaningless if the man is penniless. He is the weakest person in the society. It is rightly said... न बंधुमध्ये धनहीनजीबन, बरं बनेब्याघ्रगजेंद्रसेबनं.... A poor man has no rightful place in the society. He feels better to lead a life in the forest alone, but should not stay among his friends penniless...If you are poor, you have no right to dream..to aspire, to lead a respectful social life. Like wise, if you are weak, you can't show your anger. Anger is fruitful in potent men, who can punish, can subdue others. Owning a pride is not the business of a weaker lion. Only the strongest can have his own power over others. Be stronger to have your own way....to frown upon others if you are not satisfied. Mahamani Duryodhan loved to show anger, but Pandavas had strength. Pandavas never wanted wealth because amassing wealth was not what they were taught. They never showed their anger in public. You can't be friend with your superiors honorable friendship. You are not treated well if you have no equality. Honor is not your cup of tea if you are not equal.
Like thorns, these two attributes, poverty and weakness torment life long. Like a vehicle with strong engine but feflated, punctured tiers, these two humiliate the impotent man life long.
Let's think over what we read..
